I figured it's time to open my dark and dusty closet of sketches and hang them up for scrutiny. I would love to get feedback, critiques, paintovers and/or suggestions. The first 2 are more 'finished' sketches (though I'm sure I'll keep going back and tweaking them time and again)

This is important because 1) It will help me to network with other awesome artists & developers, 2) I will be able to get much needed critiques from awesome artists such as yourselves, 3) It will help me to get over that hesitancy I feel to share my work, and 4) Hopefully it will help me to thicken my hide a little, and be able to accept criticism as it comes, and use that criticism to get better and build myself up rather than letting it break me down.

Anyway, there will be much more to come in the future, but for now, have an image of a sexy witch!

Hi, I'm Natii,

I finally got the courage to turn my practice public beacause I'm looking for constructive criticism.
I'm a young and unexperienced Illustrator seeking a hell lot of improvement!
I consider my technique medium, but with some bad flaws attached to it. For the first time I'm challenging myself to sketch every day, changing themes every week.

So that you have an idea of which themes, this is my list:

week 1 - Female anatomy (full body, body parts, infants, actions, details, movement...);

week 2 - Male anatomy (full body, body parts, infants, actions, details, movement...);

week 3 - Animal anatomy (full body, body parts, infants, actions, details, movement...);

week 4 - nature (environments, different species, organic things...);

week 5 - dead nature (clothing, objects...);

week 6 - urban stuff and perspective (buildings, city environments, urban objects...);

week 7 - Mechanical stuff (technology, automobiles, machinary...)


This is an ongoing process, every time I get to the end of week 7, I start the list all over again, and so on =).

These are a couple of concept paintings I have been working on in my down time and in between 3D projects. I am not a concept artist but thought it couldn't hurt to imrove my skills a little more in order to come up with more detailed models.
Compositon has always been a weak spot for me because I have a hard time trying to balance between too much stuff or not enough (props and texture detailing)
also painting sharp edges has also been a problem.
