Hello.
I've got a little debates with some man concerning my DWIII entry. I didn't really wanted to put it here, but it seems i've got no choice.
I've recieved an e-mail recently from a guy called himself PanSejra. He admited that my DWIII work is somehow ressembles one of the Warhammer 40k art.
Here is the works mentioned:
it's my work
and this is the work mentioned by that guy.
After a couple of e-mails he offered to put our argument here.
Some arguments from my side:
1) Everyone could see the creation process on the DWIII forums and nobody mentioned any plagiarism, including judges. And you could see it here too.
2) Similarity in poses is not an option since it's a winning pose and it's stereotypical.
3) Whole design is different. Having pistol and a sword at the same time is not a copyrighted trademark of Games Workshop or whoever else.

So, here it is. I am really feel offended with this stuff, since it could breathe upon my reputation afterall.

CGSociety took place in the Dominance War III challenge and now with the judging in it's final stage, I would like showcase all of their hard work. CGSociety had the second most amount of people enter the challenge [next to the forum that actually hosted the challenge] and I hope, the most in the final 50.

So please take a minute and look through this thread at all their great work. Please feel free to leave a comment / critique / praise

Oh man, here we go...

First time doing anything like this.

I have been hammering away at this since the start whenever I have had free time to do this around my day job. I took a day off to have some time so I can get this stuff up here...

This is my first post of my brainstorming sketches I made at the beginning of this contest.

Hey guys, you must think i'm an ass to start now but i had a very very high fever for the past couple weeks cuz of a flu thats been goin around, I know that it will take a miracle to even finish with the modeling and sculpting stage in the time that's left but i just wanna be part of this. i aint aiming for anything.

So guys I really trying have time to painting my character but I'm doing my best, I really Would like your opinions, ok?

I'm painting inside Painter X and I'm not much familiar with digital painting, I used to paint every single work with a traditional media...

Dominance War III | paulo_furtuna | Vornak - Sonnah cont.3

Ok, now I'd like to introduce my character to you guys...

Vornak is an aquatic being and his is part of an aquatic people called Sonnah.
His class is an INVOKER and he use his magic Summonig Spear to call Aquatic creatures, one of this creatures is below. I put a little guy next to it just to you can image its size.

And below we can see his magic summoning spear too.

As a Sonnah, Vornak can use a some abilities inside water, fast speed swimming, sonar (it' s a kind of scream that he can break some material inside water, as a wood ship for an exemple). his skin is smoother than normal, so some attacks are harder to be succeful.

Outside water he can breath normal because he has a kind of nose to do that. Outside the water he can use his sonar too but without all power, Because this is a Sonnah marine attack.

His is fighting to protect his natural dwell and his kind aganst the others races.


So, I really hope you all liked this part of his history, now I'm working on the sheet model of him.

Hi all!

I'm chiming in rather late due to school and freelance, but i hope to get it kicking now with the deadline extension.. i plan to post sketches and progress every two days if not daily to make up for it.

As far as ideas go, i have been thinking of it since the beginning of the war, and from the story, i roughed it from two angles -- and decided on the following concept. I'm thinking of developing the other idea on my spare time



The fire creatures were direly feared by the machines, as they could burn and melt the strongest steel or armor. Due to fear, they were banished, and imprisoned in the darkest of waters to surpress their powers, if not kill them.

Strong as they were, the fire creatures did not die, but their powers detiorated profusely. Worse still, over the hundreds of years, their respitory system evolved to adapt to water, and they found themselves lost of hope to rise to the surface to seek revenge.

---until they found the Aons, their artifacts. And they surfaced to land again, not as the Flames of the Forgotten, but the Aveolaes.


The Aons
Water creatures that feed on light. The once dim lights of the Flames attracted them, and they were, for a long period of time, parasites. Only when the Flames came to realize how they revitalized their powers (probably in turn to obtain the light the Aons desire) and enabled them to breathe on land, things changed.
