Hello everyone,

I was cleaning out a suitcase I thought I had already gone through after arriving home from Singapore.

I found a portfolio / sketchbook type of thing with a lot of hand drawn comics, and another folder full of potential job opportunities and other items from the exhibition.

I served on the Student Volunteer Committee this year and on the last day of our bookings, the Fragrance Hotel manager contacted me and let me know a student had left these items in one of the rooms. I'm not sure if it was an SV or just another local staying in the hostel for the week, but if these items are yours please let me know.

I did find an ID card in the folder but I cannot read the name.

It belongs to a student of NUS - National University of Singapore.

It says "Graduate Registration Card", the name starts with "ZHA" and ends in "OPENG"

That is all I can tell from the card. If this is you, and you would like your items back, please contact me and I'm sure we can arrange something.

Sorry for taking so long, I must have forgotten about it when I arrived home nearly a month ago.

Ok, i think we shall put it on SATURDAY, 13th December. 7pm.
Meeting place will be at city hall train station, at the exit gantry. I will try to take some pictures and post it here of the meeting place.

Look out for the sign, which is RAFFLES CITY shopping centre. It is located above, so look up!

I will be waiting at the left side, near the glass doors, as seen on second picture. I will be wearing jeans, not sure about shirt yet.

Please don't be LATE, we will be waiting at most for extra 15 mins, which is around 6.15pm. I will be taking attendance as per the people registered here.

If you are late, just ask around for directions to carlton hotel. Very near, less than 5 mins walk.
Once there, cafe vic is on your left.

I collect the SIGGRAPH Renderman Walking Teapots from Pixar.

My missing Teapots are :

- 2006 User Group Teapot Called "Thermal"
- 2008 User Group Teapot Called "Golden 20th Anniversary"

I have to trade :

- Real Melitta Teapot that Martin Newell digitized in 1975 (the famous Utah Teapot)
- 2003 Silver Teapot (The First one) with cardboard and Brochure
or
- 2003 Silver teapot alone

Animation Nation will be presenting The SIGGRAPH 2008 Computer Animation Festival Travelling Show with support of SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 on Oct 25 and 26 at 4.15 pm at Fusionopolis Genexis Theater.

I wanted to see what people thought of the movie? I thought some of the animations were a little rigid, rough. Speedlab was new at Siggraph 2008.

A problem was given, and teams had to solve it. Unfortunately, I miss that !

Does anyone know how it was ?

What was the problem ? And what were the solutions found ?

Who was in teams ? Did you participate ?

Th main problem with Siggraph is that, after 5 days (and 5 nights...), you just feel to be so full of new things, and, at same time, feeling that you miss 98% of conference !

Hey folks, a couple of friends of mine were unable to attend Siggraph and I saw the Softimage booth had a reel on between presentations that featured some of their demo reel footage. I'd love to find it online to show them but have had no luck, does anyone have a link to it? I'd appreciate any assistance Thanks!
