Hi,
I am trying to rig an umbrella in Modo, I've already created the rig and model of one spoke using an IK handle. I now want to duplicate the spoke 8 times in a radial array with its rig.
I have already made an assembly group for the spoke rig in the schematic viewport, but when I make an instance of the assembly I can only mirror it.

How do I make 8 instances of the assembly group evenly spaced around 360 degrees?

Thank you, any advice is much appreciated!

So, I've been playing around with the pixar Subd vertex weight map and after awhile it craps out. What ends up happen is that when I move the object on component level, this happens and I can't control the weight anymore.

Any ideas?

This was a fun challenge and helped get me up to speed a little more with rigging in Modo, something I'm just starting to get into.

I wanted to create a rig for this useless contraption: http://vimeo.com/38801291

You can read more about it and access the source files here:
Textutre Offset is a new layer effect type that allows any texture map values to displace those of another layer. I use this option all the time to help reduce a procedural texture from looking too “procedural” or clean. In this short video tutorial, I show how Texture Offset can bring a little more realism when using the Brick texture. Click the link below to access video:
Hi guys,

So I added a custom layout to the layout switcher (or rather it happened automatically when I created the layout) and deleted my layout since then but it is still visible under the layout switcher (the ctrl + tab one). I can't find a way to remove it from that list, does anyone know how to do this?

Cheers!
