Hello A:M People

I'm a traditional Artist and trying to learn 3d. I just purchaced A:M v11 and the software is great but its hard for me learn it.

Can Anybody give me any advice on how to learn it from basic modeling to advance and evrything. Step by Step guide would be more helpful for me.

I would appreciate if you guys could giude me to a links or tips that you could give to really master this Awesome Software I want to start animating my drawing ASAP.

I think out final turnout on this contest was sadly very low :( So I don't know that declaring a 'winner' in this case is required in any way.

none the less if all contestants will post their final images here we can decide if that is needed or not.

there's a bit more time on this one so I should get this done!

I'm going to go for a semi-realistic Hairy Troll - maybe something along the lines of a LOTR type charcater. The fur or hair will NOT be all over the figure (think I learned enough about that making Tardy's whiskers)

My idea is a simple mouse...something like below. I thought I'd do a simple design and work more on the hair. I have found my little computer takes forever to render and work with all this hair so we'll see what I can do.

CONTEST TOPIC: 'hairy'

submission deadline 6/12/04.

how about this as a guide and we use Hash's deadline as a guide (I have modified for 3 days earlier)

we may get more entries from the mailing list too. (I notice the number of submissions are down in the contest galleries so we could be helping Hash also.)

I'd like to have a go and will start a thread along the lines of previous contest entries.

well i want to give this a shot, but i'm not sure i will have the time. hopefully i can finish this one, since my dwarf didn't quite make it all the way!

anyway, i figured dave chappelle would be a great character to animate (if i finish)......since there is a ton of funny dialogue from his show on comedy central.
