Hi there,

i have to fly over a bitmap on wich i would like to paint black lines. Using a background with a rectangle mask makes the edges very ugly (because the lines are extremly scaled. Doing it with a paint node looks better but blurry.

How can i get a perfect line with crisp edges, no matter how close a fly with my camera?!

Thanks for help,
Hey all,

I'm trying to figure out a system where I can bring in a camera and perhaps some rough geometry from Max/Vray and be able to paint in the viewport and have it track over time.

I have a working system now, but I can't help but think that with a Position Pass I could make this much more elegant. As of now, I have a camera, a ground plane, and then I've had to add a number of image planes ( at varying depths because things painted onto just one plane at the wrong depth would lose their track ) that all share the same camera projection of the paint node. This works - but its messy, and not a real time saver.

I've been able to leverage the SamplerInfo/WPP from Vray to use Volume Maks, and those are amazing, but they are quite simple, I'd like to figure out how to be able to paint more organic shapes and still have it track. I don't know if this is some combination of WPP and UV, or just WPP and some node I haven't discovered yet.

If anyone has any insight I'd greatly appreciate it!
Hi,

how can i use a z-depth image to do a 3D composition in fusion?
I have three image planes: a sky as the background, a tower as the forground and an animation of planes that should fly around the tower (visible in front of the tower and hidden behind the tower). Can i use the z-depth image of the planes to solve this?

How do i have to setup this?!!
Hi guys
I tried to get a effect like a dynamic drawing stroke animation with start and end Fade.
I cant see such funktion in the Stroke settings.
In Combustion its possible to set the Bend value for a start and end part of the Stroke.

Is there a trick to do this effect.

Maybe its possible to connect a alpha Mask for the fade to the "write on end" Attribute so that a alpha will attached at the "write on end" Slider.

thanks in advance

Hi,

when i'm importing a FBX object from 3ds max to fusion it seems to be very large, about 10-20 bigger then a standard fusion 3d plane. In max I use metric units and milimeters. What is the right setting to get a normal scaling?
