View Full Version : Large Fluid Alpha problem

I have an problem rendering large fluid boxes with mentalray. For a test I combined three low res fluid boxes and parented them to a camera. The rendering is fine, completly black, but the alpha is not. The boxes are completly empty.

I know this is a known problem and a solution would be to scale down the whole scene, but unfortunatly this is not really a solution. Here are some images:

The first image contains the normal render and a wireframe display and the second one the alpha cannel.

I have the scene attached, the bigger the scale of the camera group, the worse the problem will be. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me a hint for a solution.
