View Full Version : UV Mapping texturing not working

I'm trying to use texture mapping, but it simply is not getting in the faces correctly. For the picture you can see that I created by a uv texture mapping. Then insert into object mode. but it is wrong, sampling the texture completely in a single face. Could you help me with any tips to fix this? In image I select the front face, but I insert in Object mod, selecting all object (a kind of door).

Select your rectangle-cube.
Go to Poly menu -> Create UVs -> Automatic Mapping
Open the UV Editor window, and then adjust your properly-mapped UVs into place to fit your texture file image.

I make a new project with a same mesh and UV works. Now I can see that has some strange bug in this door mesh.
Actually the process that I use to crete this mesh is the problem. This mesh was create after I delete a lot of other object from scene.
I use your process InfernalDarkness, looks like what I did before.
My conclusion: in a minimun probabiliy this error can happen I think..(with some scrulled up meshes)
So my hint is try to make a organized mesh.
Not really sure I get what problem you are getting, but make sure your object has its scale frozen before you start mapping. Non uniform or odd scales can messy up you UV projections pretty bad.
