Im having issues with getting to grips with Vray lighting in my scenes. Until recently i had been using sketchup with vray but have since took the plunge into learning max and vray..although vray for sketchup is similar to vray for max, the one thing that is totally different(to me anyway) is the lighting aspect.
i have a square room with with 3 windows (each 3ft by 2ft) on the left hand wall, no other windows or holes...in vray for sketchup this will light up the entire room with a GI of 1, no sun or anything needed as it uses the sketchup daylight system.
Within max it is a total different ball game..iv added a vraysun and sky environment aswell as a vraycamera(with default settings)..iv pointed the sun target directly into the left side wall where the windows are, and although light does come through, it only hits part of the back wall and doesnt light up the room..iv tried changing the intensity and radious of the sun, all this seems to do is brighing the light points and not making the room any brighter.
Can anybody help at all?
Thanks very much
