Hey guys!

I just wanted to know which school is the best at Visual Effects (strictly). I've seen programs where you have to learn animation in general, but I would like to specialize in Visual Effects and Compositing.

Thanks, ;)

Considering that compositing is part of visual effects, along with about ten other disciplines, I can't really see how you can "specialise" in VFX. On the contrary, if you want to work in VFX, you should choose one discipline and specialise in that.

AAU has a strong program in VFX and Comping. It has a lot to offer if you take advantage of it.

I too am a student of Academy of Art University, MFA in Animation & VFX. It is a good school to go to, but like all other schools you need to take your education into your own hands.

I am a Digital Matte Painter and Concept artist graduating this fall, 2011. It has been the experience of a lifetime for me.
I have also gone to two other colleges for degrees, I got my A.A.S in Animation from Art Institute of Seattle, and my Bachelors at Westwood College. So far AAU has been top notch.
