View Full Version : Biped Balance Factor

Hey all,

I was making a rig and I wanted to adda feature similar to bipeds balance factor. For those that dont know what that is; when you rotate the spine it offsets the pelvis trying to keep the character's pose "balanced". I have a few ideas of how this is done I was curious if someone knew how this was done.

My first idea is to take the distance between the top of the spine, and pelvis. Create a triangle and find the center. Use that center distance as my offset. The other idea I had was to create a bounding box around the character's torso, find the center of the box and use that as my offset distance. Am I on the right track here?

Any help would be appreciated.
