yes, and yes.
It is faster for me...
Overall, it is a very nice "upgrade."
I am just now starting to really try out the

- This might sound like a stupid question, but there is a way to add a mask to an oprator in C3, insted of having to duplicate the whole layer?
- Does it have support for zpics?
- Any improvements in render time?
- Does it really comes with Twixtor as said in Revision FX web site?
Thanks's in advance,

how does it handle iff files. Does it have anyproblems when using the zdepth info form iff files? Also if you render the zdepth info to seperate file does C3 let you use it for compositing. not just for compound blur?

First of all I will say that yes, there are speed improvements, the ram preview feels more like AE now, which I think is better. On the down side, I have STILL had some trouble with iff files, when I try to open one I get a crash. But if I import it into a composite it has been fine so far. I haven't had a chance to work on any heavy scenes, with iff files yet, but I don't trust it. I was also wondering about the z-depth crgowo. I can extract the z-depth or just bring in a iff with it embedded, but I don't know of any tools that allow you to do anything with it besides the obvious like post fog and DOF. I hope someone will enlighten us both.

Does it support digisuite iframe .avi to work with? Does it open 2.1 workspace files?
11 November 2003, 07:43 PM
Yes, it will (of course) open 2.1 workspace files...
But you can NOT go back to Cv2.1
(i.e. There's NO "save as Cv2.1" in Cv3 to go BACK to Cv2.1
and you can NOT open Cv3 CWS files in Cv2.1)
As for Matrox Digisuite iframe .avi's........
There is a report that the Matrox DigiSuite LX/DTV
running the newest Matrox 7.2 drives does NOT work.
The user said he had to run the 7.0 or 7.1 previous driver.....
I haven't tried it myself.. But, this info was posted just
yesterday at the Discreet Combustion official forum...
That's the latest news.....
