View Full Version : Particle Flow help

Hi guys,

I have a particle animation that needs to behave in a certain way and I am not having any luck. I think it may be easy for some of you pros.

It basically a cluster of blood cells (like a school of fish) being emmitted from particle flow. After a certain distance (or time?) they need to look like they are being herded through a gate that would only allow one to go through at a time single file. That's it. No dinosuars, or space ships, no destroying Las Vegas. Just a clump 'o blood cells falling in line. I'm hoping it can be done with particle flow and not a gazillion dollar plug in. Any help would be appreciated!

All the very best,

Do it backwards :)

Emit your particles along a speed by icon, linked to a spline, synced to particle age and when particles reach the end they go into a new event where they get some divergence and spread out.

Render and flip it post so the End Frame is now the beginning.

That would be the easiest way.
