There are three Wisdoms:
There is no Progress without Chaos, without Random.
One can't create a higher Conciousness than oneself.
Immortality is imperfect.

In the Beginning ...

What's the Sense of the Existence of an immortal Being?

If you don't vanish, exist forever, you and your Kin can't evolve.

If you fail in Creating a Consciousness higher evolved than yours, create less evolved ones. Perhaps the might evolve at Random, becoming equal and even superior to you. The more there are, the higher the Chances.

Even if they might get lost in their own Life, their own Faith, their own Church, finally all will come back.

Hopefully I will manage to finish this. Luckily the Deadline has been extended. Else I wouldn't have been able to participate.
If there is a God, there must be a Church.
God, in his Thinking to create an equal Being, figured out to create Beings of lower Consciousness. They might not be able to create godlike Beings on their own, but perhaps, at Random, a higher Being will rise among them.
His first Attempts were Creating other - as we'd say - mechanical Beings, but he soon experienced that those were virtually immortal, only able to create Copies of each other, no Random-Factor in their Evolution.
The next Step was his Approach to Biology, the Creation of the Angins, chemical and biological components similar to his mechanical Components. These Angins were depending on the Vicinity to God, God's Essence was their Life. So they virtually were immortal, as long as they stayed close to God.
But to evolve it requires the Absence of God, existing on your own. Hence he made Man, with every single one possessing a Part of God's Essence. Leaving all of them on their own, without his Order.
The first Angin, for being imperfect in the Eyes of God, became envious. He left the others, living among the Humans. Still depening on the Essence of God he needs the Vicinity to Man, harvesting the Essence of all of them, one after another.
As long as God won't 'awake' again, the first Angin will be God himself ...

The First Angin, the Priest, and his Followers are almost ready. Time to hurry up and paint the Background. As you see, God is Part of the Background. I think, this fits best to a godlike Being, not being apparent at the first Glance.

Initially inspired by:
Varuna - Unseen World (a Song worth getting another Illustration of its own)
Rotersand - War on Error
Dune Main Theme (actually my favourite SciFi-Story, also worth painting many Illustrations later on)

The First Angin, dwelling on the Essence of his Believers, can only be stopped by God. By taking back the Essence of those, making all Life come to an end.

Three Days come to an End ...
Sinfall of Civilization, the Fall of the First Angin, forced God to finally inhabit its Avatar, though nothing but a Relict nowadays, a last Time ... to take back what once has been given ...
