This question I have for Wegg,
How did you do your hair in the gorilla animation? Was the animation done in Messiah? If you used any outside app how did you do the hair?

Correct, the hair was Sasquatch and rendered in LightWave. Hopefully Sasquatch will make its way over to messiah soon. Let's hope!

I haven't tried this myself, but has any given thought to using a hair texture map and applying soft bodies to it and rigging to a characters head? Just a thought.

Hair look and shading is very different than any textured geometry approach. If you add the parameter of motion dynamics to the equation, then you realize why special hair/fur engines exist.
