View Full Version : Character Animation Reel Summer 2011

So its been a couple of years since I took the decision from all round average (possibly below average) generalist out of University to pursue character animation solely and here's my latest reel consisting of personal work from AM and also some professional work. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for looking!

Great work overall. Really love the shots with the griffin (that's a griffin right?) And the armless stu is awesome as well.

I do think it could be trimmed down a bit, some shots either don't really add anything or somewhat detract. I thought the indiana jones running bit was nice, but kind of even and nothing about it really stood out to me.

The butterfly shot right after as well, not sure it needs to be in there.

Anyways, they are necessarily bad, just don't think they add a lot.

Otherwise it's a strong reel!

Very cool. Love the quad walk cycle and the griffin stuff. Very fluid and smooth :)

Hey Andy.

good reel. I think you could trim some of the stewie stuff. The one where the girl runs past was a little stiff in places, add a bit more overlap on the head turn.

But most of it's awesome. I actually really like the knight when he gets up and turns, there is some nice arm movement on the settle. Where's your acting stuff from AM? I see you're also doing the animals and creatures? When did you study at AM I was there from Jan 2009 till summer 2010.

All the best Pete B
