I try to create an "infinity floor" because I want to composite some 3D Images with 'real film' material.
First i created a "VrayMtlWrapper" for the floor.
Base material = standard
Matte surface = on
Alpha contribution = -1,0
Shadows = on
Aphect alpha = on
fine. btw. I'm using 3D Studio Max 2010 + V-Ray.
Than some "V-Ray" Light ... turn the GI on... and click
on "Store with irradiance map" ... less noisy texture + faster render time.
But now i have to turn the background white. For the shadows...
and thats teh big problem. I can't use "Store with irradiance map" anymore.
its to bright. ... and so my shadows are gone.
Sure.. i can increase the subdivs to get rid of the noise... but
that would also increase the render time. Maybe there is a trick
to use "Store with irradiance map" + "VrayMtlWrapper" with black background,
or... I don't know
