Hi there,

Des Hinkson's story struck me as the real deal when I met him at LucasArts Singapore last year. He talks about his moves around the world chasing his games career.
All the way to 'The Force Unleashed 2' at LucasArts in Singapore.

The basic idea was to use two different animation styles for the two different characters. The pirate is based around an upside down human mouth. We wanted to create quite realistic movement and appearance; rather like a glove-puppet, something you could feel you could touch.

Looks like a leftover from meindbender's Pirate article...

nice stuff. i just wish lucas arts would get their stuff together because everything coming out of there has great potential or looks good, but then just crashes and burns when it hits retail. They need to get back to their golden days.
