View Full Version : Facial rig using Maya, input needed!

Hi I'm Max Norderfeldt and I'm currently working on a research project. And part of that project is to collect data from other people then myself. :) I created a facial rig that is driven by Maya muscle system so that the face is deformed by muscles that stretch and compress.

Anyhow here is some questions, but feel free to write anything. And please remember that I'm not biased, I will have a easier time writing my dissident if I also get some rough critique on this method.

1, Do you believe that the Maya muscle system can be a good alternative to the regular joint/curve based facial rigs.

2, What advantages/disadvantages to you think/see that it have in comparison to other facial rig systems.
