View Full Version : Basic rigging question.

Im currently trying to make an arm fold out from a robot ball (picture). The 'sheild' has bones in it so far and folds up pretty nicly. The problem im having is connecting the rail. So far i've tried aim constraints on the rail and the bones but each time i do that the rail never follows the sheild fully and pokes out (as shown in the picture). Just wondering if someone knows a way to make it go in a bit further, or if there is another technique i should be using? Any help on this topic would be great.

It looks like to me that something is causing the arm to translate up when the shield is being rotated in. Without actually seeing the file I cant really be sure though. If you wouldnt mind sharing it for inspection that would be great. If not I completely understand though.
