Don't dabble much into particles, other than a little bit of smoke and fire, and want to use them for an animation.
What I'm essentially trying to do is have a model but instead of a solid mesh I want it to look like its made out of particles. Kind of like a shadowy being. I haven't a clue where to start with this. Do I build a basic rigged model and "substitute" the particles later? The best example I guess is when a character is made out of water in a movie, except I want more of an ominous black being with red eyeballs.
Found lots of point about disintegrating but I want to keep things "together."
