BluFire Studios wanted to show CGSociety how they used Cinema4D and Maya to create the most life-like flying, fire-breathing dragons for this TV production. The modeling and lighting was very convincing and shows what can be done with the right people, apps and time.

One question: as C4D sub polygon displacement was mentioned so often in the article. Is it that much faster than mental ray displacement? or vray displacement?
