View Full Version : Dominance War V - 3D - CrimsonKing001 - Lehua, Sun Goddess

Hello All,

This will be my first time competing in Dominance War.

My idea for this character is to create more of a classical type of sculpture. I think adding too many man-made elements such as shields and weapons and armor would take away from the godly essence. On the other hand, I donít just want to make a naked woman. I really love the dynamic poses in Berniniís work and am aiming for something along those lines.

I made a clay maquette to work out my pose and I like where that is going. Iím not sure if the pictures I posted accurately capture what it looks like in the round though. I then did a Photoshop paint over to work out my color pallet and I also like where that is going. I envision her skin texture and aura to be something like Dr. Manhattan, except not blue.

I still need to work on her actual body shape and proportions though. Iím not sure how muscular versus swimsuit model I should go for. I also need to figure out the design of her clothing and tattooís more precisely.

Thanks for looking and good luck to everyone!

Woho... you really know that "3D" was meant to be digitially, don't you! :D Great sculpting so far. Will you scan this model to transport it to the computer?

Thanks! I wouldn't even know how to scan it, but that would be cool. It actually fell apart today. I guess my room got too warm and she's all bent over now.

Dude, sorry to hear about the sculpture falling apart. Don't give up. But, yeah, it does have to be 3D I believe. Are you eventually modeling it in 3d?

Whatever you do, I will watch :)
I like your approach to this challenge, with so many people focusing on fancy details (me too) your concept is kinda unique ^^
I'm sorry for your sculpture, try to bake her next time.

I know it has to be digital, I just wanted to try this out real quick and get the pose worked out in my mind. I used plasticine, so there's nothing I could do to make it permanent. Its not a big deal, she kinda looks like a zombie now...LOL.

Thanks for the interest! I think a lot of my details will be in sculpting the fire elements. That's certainly going to be a challenge. I'll get some more finalized concepts up soon.
