Greetings y'all. First time entering in any kind of competition like this, I'll do my best! >.< Good luck to everyone - I love all the entries I've seen so far :)

My god is the goddess of Ruin/Entropy. She's one of the daughters of the God of Time. He made her from sand and she gained some of his powers over time itself. Unfortunately she gained the powers of entropy and her body is constantly breaking down and cracking. She's very jealous of anyone with solid bodies, especially pretty mortals, so she turns people into dust and absorbs them to fill up the cracks and holes in her body. Her armor is made of all kinds of bone and helps keep her together, along with various straps and scraps of skin. The ribcage around her chest actually has a spine at the back, so it's flexible.

I am loving the back story of your character! I can tell a lot of thought has gone into this. I look forward to seeing the model!

love the concept :3 especially the idea for the skin!

Small idea though, maybe add something to the armor to break up the symmetry (unless that was part of your concept). Just an idea though, concept looks great as is.

Hmm... You might be right about the symmetry thing I think.
I'll work on the armour a bit more, I find it hard designing armour haha~ :D

This looks really great, solid back story and nice concept work, cant wait to see how it progresses.
In regards to the symmetry, maybe play with the skulls on the shoulders? Having just 1 or different kinds? 1 big and 1 small? Just a thought :)

I'm slowly modelling the low poly mesh then I'm going to make all the different skulls and sculpt everything. I'll play around with the placement/arrangement of skulls, (as people have suggested, thanks :applause: ) once I have all the pieces.

This is the low poly body wip thus farrrr: I like butts, but I hate modelling them! (

Just an update on what I did today. Trying to figure out some armor pieces. She also has head and hands now! Yey. Low poly mesh nearly done, then sculpt then if I change too much of the shape retopo =\

Jumped into Zbrush. I haven't used it before, I'm having alot of fun. Haha I've sculpted the helmet and the skulls - I really like how the helmet turned out. I've extruded planes for hair, I can't wait to texture this, I just have to unwrap everything first ;) (

I should probably update more often Haha~

Started texturing only briefly. The body is really yellow - I'm gonna change that. I marked out where I want the strips too, so will work on that. The skulls are the most complete of the textures, but still have to polish them once everything else is done (so nothing looks too out of place XD) (

Love the concept, the background story, the way she is made of sand with armor of bones. Nice work. Have you tried applying noise to her body in ZBrush? I haven't tried using it myself, but based on the video tutorials in the link I pasted below, it should help give her a more sand-like experience.

I've only just started using zbrush, so thanks for the video and feedback TonyVirili, I'll have to try it out on the model. I'll post the results soon :)
