This is an animation made by William Ashurst, Odd Smith-Jahnsen, and me, Thomas Smestad. The client wanted an animation with a clean look and easily understandable story to promote their product.
The product is an active safety system for fork lifts, lifts, cranes, and about everything else you can think of hooking it up to. Even though the movie can be interpreted as a standard backup sensor, this system actually interferes with the operations and stops the vehicle or whatever is needed.
See the animation here: Cy.Pag - Samoter (http://vimeo.com/21386158)
We would've liked to have some more time to perfect the particles, add some boxes being destroyed, and perhaps some sounds of things being shattered inside the boxes, but we feel we got as much out of it as we could in the timespan available.
Programs used: modo, Maya, Fusion, Adobe Premiere.
Modelling and rigging: Thomas
Post-processing: Odd (and Thomas for those neon orange thingies)
