Here's a screencap of the modelling on a Gateway that will be part of the image. It was done in SolidWorks and later imported into Max.
I apologize for the quality of the screencaps.
Here is another view.
More to come

I haven't put up a concept painting yet, cuz I keep forgetting to, but Basically you will see part of the Alien world through the glass of the tunnel. The world will be mostly Geometry, so I need to get in gear and start on the terrain and whatnot.
Right now my poly count is going through the roof with the detailing on the tunnel, but so far it's still manageable so we'll see how detailed I can get.:D
Anyways...Here is rough tunnel with a few test maps.
Here's a screen cap.

Here's an ugly quick render of the beginning of the terrain with my tunnel model.
I think I may need to re-think my terrain since it is already a really high poly terrain and there are NO real features yet.
I think I will try a displacement map next. If the terrain just doesnt come out well, I will probably try it in WorldBuilder and see how that goes.

This is the beginning of the center tower section. It is goint to be where the Tunnel ultimately connects to.
This section will be repeated a few times and 2 other sections will be used as well as a Top piece.
Im worried that my poly count is getting pretty high, but I may switch to proxies when it comes time to assemble the thing.

This is an initial test for the type of terrain I want.
I'm still fighting over what kind of lighting and atmossphere I am going to use.
