Tried the link on two different machines here and it worked fine on both.

Hm, it won't show within the thread. I "viewed source" on the page and found the url to the image. I put that in the address field and it viewed just fine. I have no idea.

Well anyway, thats an intense image. Very cool. You're going to have your work cut out for you!

edit : Never mind... seems to be working fine now!

gfxartist.com probably doesn't like hotlinking.
You need to open the image once, and thenit will show up on the page here, because it's cached.

I like the picture, but I would tone down the "built" aspect of it. read through the compo again....

Tephlon> My thought was tha since you see no bodies about, the landscape seems deserted, but after yor comment, I guess that that was apparent only in my mind.
Maybe, as you said, tone down the constructed . Perhaps if the place appeared more as a ruin?

The location seems unpopulated, but not necessarily abandoned or neglected, nor rusting or decaying, but life forms are inexistent.

The judges may rule that ruins constitute neglect.

zbgump> True...So... I think it might fit the description of , "seems unpopulated" by the fact that no life forms are visible .

Hm, good point. I read through the instructions and I think your image would be fine; if the structures are in ruins. That would lend to the fact that the viewer should "...feel that something was created here"

why don't you just give a link so I don't have to mess around with the raw html stuff.

Concept sketch. Done on a wacom in PS6 to be modeled in 3DSMAX.
I painted this image awhile ago, since then I've been wanting to explore it in 3D...
So here goes.

Hi BC1967,

First off let me say that I love your "mines" painting. that is really nice. I think it would look awesome in 3D.

One little problem though: I'm pretty sure that the rules for this challenge state that all work for this challenge has to be original, made for the challenge. i don't know if it would be kosher to use an image that you have made before.

That said, i still think it's a goregous pic.

Thanks.
I think that the definition of an original image is, one that has yet to used for a paticular purpose.
So in that case even though the image was done at an eariler time, it had no real purpose. Now I'm using it as a concept for a 3D image.
