View Full Version : Detailing Dezkin - gagiu

Hello everyone!

I wish I could have finish the Dezkin and post my WIP's during the last weeks but as most of us, i assume, free time is always a luxury.
Anyway, here is my take on him and some thoughts regarding the software, workflow, character.

I have got very hooked into mari's interface after a few hours and the workflow was something i very much liked since it is pretty straight forward and it allowed me to focus on the task and the task only.
It performed well on my machines (dual quad xeon with 8 gb ram, nvidia gtx 460, and thinkpad i7 with 8gb ram, nvidia quadro nvs 3300). I have got my freezing moments when maya and mari were opened at the same time but i am sure that with a dedicated system it would rock.

The character was a bit of a challenge to me since it incorporated some anatomical features and proportions that were very inspiring.
To me, looking at his hands and legs proportions, he was more of a Anthony and the Johnsons ( fan than a RATM ( one, an avid coffee drinker who would prefer the company of fellow artists. Very much into politics and constant citing from Rosa Luxemburg ('s work. I couldn't see the battered warrior's "shell". I could only see it's spirit, portrayed every weekend with talent and passion at the Imperial Galactic Theater on Saturdays and Sundays.

i have managed to paint another couple of objects and yes, i am 15min late after the deadline.
