Here's my first thoughts, a world covered with or completely made of transparent tubes with blood cell like things running through them.
I'll work it up more until a better idea comes to mind.

I've developed the theme a little further, at the moment I'm still keen on making the whole place out of tubes/cables/tenticles what ever they are.
Now I'm thinking of adding hanging sacs of glowing liquid things which hopfully will give a lot of scope for lighting.

awesome concepts.. I like the second one!

A little test to see how the everywhere tubes might look, and to see if my computer will take more than 3 months to render the whole thing!

Great to see you're in ;)
your tubes look cool.
last concept is great.

Not to obvious in the sketch but this world is made entirely of tubes.

New concept, too many people are doing the glowing liquid in sack type thing.
Here I'm going for the cathedral look massive columns supporting the land above with cracks showing the sky, probably a shallow ocean as well.

Playing with a possible look of the column thingies.

Frankly speaking - concept sucks or the way u put things together - donít take it otherwise it only my opinion, and donít follow others, try to be original, tube thing is fine but how you put it on the paper matters the most, ok give you an idea if you donít mind, imagine the alien are inside us n using our body as breading grounds for their new-generation. Also they are manipulating our thoughts, all n all using human body for their purpose of existence. ...hope u will make some sense out of it n not find my words harsh.........good Luck...........

Very apocalyptic! I like the dramatic look it has. Column looks good so far and I guess you can give us a rendered preview of the big picture soon. It kind of reminds me the mines of ...the Dwarf kingdom of Moria (had to look it up :p ) in Lord of the Rings, The fellowship of the Ring.
Just make the effort to see the movie (if you don't remember it or haven't seen it) and tell me if I'm wrong.
Hope my comment helps you on your concept design.

I've worked up the last idea a little further.

dixit13: Thanks for being honest, the image in my head isn't quite what I've down on paper, quick sketching on the computer isn't quite my forte.
neospartan: Moria probably does have some influence here, it's an image of the film that is firmly fixed in my head even if I wasn't conscious of it.

very colorful concept , i really like the blue sea.
keep good work

I really like the column concept. Good color contrast too, which in a final render will make a more striking image. Try to keep the simple warm-cool color contrast all the way to the end. If you add details, great, but don't go overboard with colors that stray outside the scheme.
You might consider reversing the colors, too. Blue water seems pretty "normal" and not what we might expect on a completely alien world. Especially considering that water here on earth looks blue because it is reflecting the color of the sky. Without a blue sky, your blue water looks a bit out of place. (Unless you're going for a blue ocean that is truly blue, not just appearing so.)
Maybe a red "gaseous" ocean or something.... Then blue-ish green columns fading away back into the mist? The human eye tends to see cool colors as "further away," so it might look a little more "vast" if you put the warm stuff up front, and the cool stuff in back. (According to Jeremy Birn's book, that is.)

Who sais this is a normal ocean, it could be some liquid lifeform or an ocean in the inside of the planet of a blue fluid (remember Dune or Journey to the middle of the earth) and if it is alien, it could also be a liquid mineral or whatever. I guess the most important thing is to get out of any terran scheme of materials to provide a alien look. and remember the happening, something that makes te visitor scream "Hell-low!?! Is there anybody ot there?!?"
And the rip offers to that quiet good. I think you should go on that concept. The colors are cool, and as long as the ocean is not water, it fits.
Goodluck and be inspired...:wip: :buttrock:
