View Full Version : How can I settle RealFlow paticles?

02-25-2011, 11:58 AM
Hi there,

I am trying to find a way to be able to completely settle particles before and after they are interacted with. I have a drink bottle that is 1/4 full. It is completely still to begin with, then is knocked over, causing liquid to spill over. The bottle stays in that position, which leaves the liquid to settle again.

I read about using kSpeed daemons to settle particles whilst locking the timelines or drag force, but I'm not quite sure how to correctly set these daemons up.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

use a speed daemon with the limit and keep option. you can keyframe it.

its extremely simple to use. there is only one attribute to play with, which is the max speed, its pretty straightforward.

Thank you for your reply. I hear about having to decrease the max speed value of time, is this true. How exactly do I key in the daemon?

Thanks again,

like any other attribute, right click and add key.
