View Full Version : Is there a workaround for baking tearing ncloth simulation?

I've created an animation with ncloth dynamics where the cloth tears. When I bake out the animation with control points selected it comes up with this error message "Error: Cannot bake control points of shape outputCloth1 because the topology changes".

Is there a work-around for this? I need to take the final mesh & animation into Realflow.

google it for "Point Cache".

The point count changes because of the merge node created when you setup a tearable constraint. Disable or remove that node and the topology won't change. You can always add the merge node back in later so that your mesh is smooth until the breakup.

cache the simulated geometry and then bake it ,definitely work.
