For those who don't know what Jot is, check out this link:

It's a Non Photorealistic Renderer (NPR) which allows you to create images like these:

To see Jot in action, check out this AVI:

What I'm looking for is a Maya plug-in that will allow you to spit out animation files to Jot from Maya. Here is a page that describes the workflow from within Lightwave:

There are currently plug-ins for Max, Lightwave, and Blender. Can any of these be repurposed for a Maya version of the plug-in? I don't know much about writing this type of thing myself.

Thanks in advance!

Jot takes an obj sequence right? If so, there' s a few scripts on highend3d that can bake out an obj sequence for you.

Alternatively, you could try the beaver project, which does a maya->lightwave conversion. You can find it at

You might want to look at toonshade if you haven't already. It allows you to attach paintfx strokes to sillouetes and crease edges. There's some very nice images in their gallery. Pretty cheap too, very fast, very controllable.
