someone asked on the forums about something similar so had to try it out ;)
basically Parent particles emitted onto an nRigid sphere using Force Field to suck them onto the surface, flowing down with turbulence.. then child emission particles with low conserve, using negative Force Field to attract them to each other for that beaded windscreen effect...

Really cool test. I might have to try something similar.

Are you going to try one with higher res?

i did a similar effect last year but with expressions and some brute force..didnt occur to me to try force fields ill give it a shot thanks HowardM!

well, using FF is brute force ;)

im betting the expressions allowed more control....

i did manage to increase the speed of the flow based on how many particles intersected the streams, which looked cool in tests but in the shots they were low light often secondary effects so it was a bit of overkill considering the setup times etc....

BTW I managed to get a really nice syrup and chunky liquid sim based off your rnd for nparticle constraints..appreciation...i have your vimeo page marked as a check in from time to time lol. :)

yah i should start my own vimeo channel, i do most of my tests at work and im not sure how that would play with them...ill try and spend some home time soon and get one going.
