View Full Version : modeling "vision"

Good day ladies and gentlemen, I've been following tutorials for a few weeks, but whenever I try to make anything on my own, it ends up so horrible that it shames me to have been part of its making, so my question to you guys is simple, whilst the answer might not be(the tutorials Ive done have taught me the how's, but not the why's, making it for me near impossible to apply it to anything else).

How do you see what to do next to make your model decent?

best Regards

Learning techniques, practicing and experience.

Observation is key, i gather lots and lots of reference of the subject & look at how other artists approached it, then i throw in my vision...

The reason you fail is probably a lack or knowledge in traditional arts, then again i have no idea what you are trying to do so i can't tell you to work more on gesture/anatomy or edgeflow for your hard surface model.
