View Full Version : hardware particles with MR

Hi am trying to do a reflection pass of some hardware particles in mental ray but can't seem to turn off primary visibility for the particles so that i just get the reflections... read a post on this forum that said that if you are using hardware particles in mental ray you can't alter the render stats stuff + my render stats is greyed out... Have tried altering opacity on the particles,etc but nothing seems to work. Just wondered if there was a way round this apart from using instanced geometry? thanks!
