View Full Version : Limit history panel lines

Does anybody know a way to limit the number of lines in Maya script editor history?
i.e; if the limit is 50 and a new line adds to history, the first line should be deleted from history panel.

its useful for me when debugging my scripts (by 'print' statements).
Else, i have to clear history frequently.

just put a call to the clear history command into the start of your script, or write a little function launcher that sources your given file, clears the script Editor then runs your function.
scriptEditorInfo -ch;:nathaN

ok, thank you..
but i thought there can be some optionVar in userPrefs, or so in order to limit the history write, which can be a better way in my case than clearing the full history.
