I'm trying to build a simple feather soultion in maya.
I'm rendering to 3delight, so my current idea is to make a feather as an RiCurve (probably just using paint effects), and than instance that based on fur.
I checked out Shave, but it can only instance polys, not curves rib archives. No luck with maya fur either.
Anyone got any ideas? I'll rather use a fur solution, lots of advantages like dynamics.
