Magic Motion Studios is a subsidiary of RTI Group, LLC., an up and coming international company started by industry veterans in the field of forensic engineering and litigation graphics. The Studio is a group looking for a talented 3d Art Generalist that can function well in small creative environment. The intention is to involve everyone in all aspects of production and to have fun creating content that will impress our clients and smoke our competition. This person will have the opportunity to advance within the department with increased responsibilities and as Magic Motion Studios experiences continued growth.

Digital Artist: 3d Generalist

Our ideal candidate is an artist who is a highly motivated creative individual, multi-talented person who wants be a part of a small creative team. This artist will create a wide variety of 3D content as well as animation, visual effects and motion graphics/compositing. This person must be self-motivated to succeed and to function with limited supervision. The ability to understand complex schematics and engineering/scientific data will be important to this person's success within our group. This candidate must also be able to research and understand how to acquire any information that may not be immediately provided by the Art Director or internal/external clients.


Create high quality 3D assets that adhere to the Art Direction and style established for the project

Reports to and receives direction from Art Director and other team members when applicable

Must be proficient with Adobe Photoshop to create Textures as well as assets for compositing

Required to create high-quality artwork within specified time constraints and established budgets

Artists must be able to work independently or in small groups to trouble-shoot and provide solutions to production issues related to asset and content creation

Work collaboratively with Art Director, other digital artists, contractors and engineers on a daily basis


Possess solid understanding and skills using 3ds Max. Other packages will be considered.

Priority of skill set: (1) 3d Modeling, (2) Visual Effects, (3) Motion Graphics/Compositing, (4) Texturing

Must be proficient with Adobe Photoshop to create Textures as well as assets for compositing

Must have experience with AfterEffects

Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines

Possess the ability to quickly learn, adapt to and improve Art and production pipelines

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Self-motivated individual with a willingness to continue learning and contributing to our product

Strong portfolio showcasing your most recent work

BA, BFA or an equivalent professional certification/experience


Traditional art skills (figure drawing, landscape, animals, painting, composition, perspective, etc)

Experience using game engines and/or interactive content creation tools

Bilingual - English/Spanish (French, Russian, Greek and/or Chinese also helpful)

Experience working with simulators and simulation software

Experience with writing maxscripts

Experience using 3ds Max plugins; VRay, FumeFX, Afterburn, DreamScape, RealFlow

Good understanding of CG lighting

Experience with Composite 2011, Combustion and/or Nuke

Experience creating character models, rigging, & skinning
