View Full Version : Motion Capture Data (CSV)

I have several files (CSV, Comma Separated Values) that represent Motion Capture/TSPi (Time, Space, Position information) of an aircraft in flight.

I have never worked with this kind of data before and I'm trying to produce some animations from the data. I'm working in 3d studio max and wondering if anyone has any experience working with this kind of data.

I'm gathering from my research that I will have to convert these CSV files into a format that MoCap can read (Biovision, Acclaim).

I would think that working with my TSPi data would actually be easier that working with Character MoCap as it deals with far less information. The data I'm working with represents ONE object being tracked in Time, Longitude, Latitude, Altitude, Pitch, Roll, Yaw where as a character MoCap file would deal with several of those objects.

Any advice or resources you could point me to would be appreciated.
