The Talent Development Artist Program is available for recent graduates of undergraduate or graduate programs (within three years of graduation date) for a 3 or 6 month paid position at Walt Disney Animation Studios. The Talent Development Artist Program offers a chance to understand the depth of your new skills, refine and strengthen key areas, and apply your talents in our real world environment. Under the guidance of a Disney Mentor you will be immersed in our world of art and technology while being trained on production work-flows and tools.

CG Animators are responsible for bringing characters to life. To be a successful candidate, CG Animators may have a background in any of the following animation disciplines: traditional, cg, stop motion or claymation. Prior training should cover anatomy, perspective and composition, including solving problems in weight, balance, movement, space, construction and proportion. Animators must be able to demonstrate their understanding of animation principles such as timing, clear staging, squash and stretch, anticipation and follow-through, and secondary action. CG Animators must not only be able to demonstrate mastery of mechanics, but should also be able to demonstrate a wide range of character acting throughout their reel.
Demonstrate a strong understanding and execution of acting and the animation principles
Collaborate and take direction from Directors to bring the envisioned spirit to the characters
Participate as a team member providing creative acting to tell stories
Bachelors degree in Animation, Fine Art, Illustration, related field or equivalent experience desired
Strong knowledge and execution of the animation principles
Keen ability to take direction from Story and Director(s) as necessary
Proven ability to be detail oriented and to work efficiently within a production environment
Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, supplementing the team by providing ideas and receiving feedback
