View Full Version : MR: Fluids & volumetric shaders

Hi guys,

I need some help with a scene I'm working on. It's a earth /space scenario and I made some fluid clouds. Then I created the atmosphere with a mib_volume & transmat shader - both connected to the shading group of a mia_material.
Both renders out fine if the other one is hidden. I don't get it?
The really strange thing is that if I'm setting up a view angle as shown in the picture, I can see both. I think it's working because the camera actually is IN the volumetric object. So I tried to scale the object up that the camera is in the object with my desired view. Didn't work.

What am I doing wrong?

Autovolume is on btw!

edit:/ I just tried the atmosphere with a 3d fluid container and this works even better. Wonderful...
But I'm still interested why this didn't work with the volumetric shader even though I don't need it anymore. :)?
