View Full Version : Wiring FFXFollow OP with object speed

Hi I have a box in my scene and the idea is that i want to increase the velocity multiplier value in FumeFx follow operator whenever the box speed is high and decrease it when the speed is low
I tried to use a script float controller and use this expression

Length (x.position)

x is a variable assigned to a node "box001" but still no success.

do i need to use script operator or box3# ?

1. Make sure the Velocity Channel is being export from Fume.

2. Assign a Script Float to the FFX FOllow Ops Velocity track (I am guessing you already did this)

3. (this is were your script is broken) use an expression like:


First you need to tell the track where to get the velocity from, in this case it will be box001, then you may want to reduce the amount of velocity as that setting is fairly sensitive.

That should do the trick :)

Thank you Johnny dividing the length by 100 did the trick.
