Hello, my name is Karniv. i am a newcomer to max, and I luv it...

I am trying to figure out how to make the best "skinny", "pointy" flames I can with max.

Should I use a Max-script?, Particle Flow elements, or the "atmospheric fire affect".

I am playing around with the parameter of the Helpers > atmospheric fire affect, but is that the best way to go?
