View Full Version : Maxscript for hiding menu bar?

I was doing some UI tweaking inside max2011 and making some custom buttons.
Something like this:
"actionMan.executeAction 0 "411" -- Tools: Show Main Toolbar Toggle
actionMan.executeAction 0 "40264" -- Expert Mode Toggle
actionMan.executeAction 0 "408" -- Tools: Show Command Panel Toggle"

I put this little script in "\Scripts\Startup" folder so that when max starts up it's already in expert mode with track bar, main toolbar, time slider and other staffs at the bottom all hidden.
My laptop is on a limited resolution and I've to keep graphite modeling tools open, that's the reason I'm doing it.
But I've to manually hide menu bar through the rollout button at the end of quick access toolbar, because it can't be recorded through MacroRecorder.

Another one about to be asked is "center selected object's pivot point" with a single button instead of a series of actions.
After some googling I find "selection[1].pivot = selection[1].center" which seems to be the solution. Hope this may help if you need it too.

Cheers!
