View Full Version : Rigging 101 Wire Controllers and 2011

12 December 2010, 01:46 AM
I've recently begun rigging as part of an assignment and I am trying use the Rigging 101 Wire Controllers on Maya 2011, but there seems to be an invalid syntax. I'm not very familiar with MEL scripts, so if possible can some one tell me where the fixes are to be made, or point me to an alternate script that will work on Maya 2011.

Your help is much appreciated.

I'm sorry, its a MEL script that creates nurbs curves to be used as controls for joints in a right.

I found that it simply hadn't been updated to work with Maya 2011. So after some searching I found equivalent tools at CreativeCrash (

Thank you though,
If you're still interested and maybe have the know-how to correct the scripting. I'm afraid I can't be too helpful, the only error I received was the "Error: Invalid Syntax" message.

Works fine on Maya 2011.

There must be an other mistake on your side...

Script editor -> (Menu) history -> show stack trace.

Turn that on to see if you can read the error more in detail.
