View Full Version : Directing particles towards a specific point in space

I'm trying to get some particles to go towards a specific point and then stay there. I first tried using a Newton field, which attracted some particles but pushed most of them away. Then I tried using a radial field, which was able to attract the particles, but then they go back and forth, back and forth endlessly.

Also, with both these fields, I tried setting the Trap Inside attribute to 'on', but in both cases it does absolutely nothing. Any pointers?

Tried using goals? drop the particle conserve down a little may help with some of the "back and forward" motion you are getting.

Thanks man! I think I'm gonna use Curve Flow and then a little bit of creative compositing.
