whooaa cool work.

one question: why do many cg people and nearly all programmers have this cow tick? Is it because they miss nature while working in dark rooms with no natural light? Or is there something fascinating about cows?

freaking good artwork, nice idea!

10-11-2003, 12:55 PM
fantastic work :)
love the colors and the girl ;)

a few things:

her right arm looks a little strange, like her shoulder is sticking out too much...

her left hand looks a bit too big

and where the dragon meets the ground in some parts looks a bit odd

i really love the picture

Nice image!
I don't know why it makes me think at Michael Ende's "Neverending Story" my favorite book when I was a child...

10-11-2003, 04:42 PM
like the color..like the girl..like the environment
but i find that the cloth(armour) is quite big -seeing from her back..n it make her head look weird n smaller.....left hand look big:rolleyes:

10-11-2003, 05:40 PM
Well I think the cow tick comes from a code hackin contest.. Atleast since me and most of my buddies joined that contest everybody has a cow tick... We were called the Dutch Power Cows :D... and the logo of the program was a cow... Don't know if it counts for more people...

I would beef up the background some more. It doesnt look like it has recieved enough attention. If you were to add more elements and detail you could get a much nicer atmospheric perspective effect here.

Nice Painting work!

Very cool pic, i like the use of colors.

Just one minor niggle: If that's a girl sitting on top of the dragon, she's got really big hands. Almost scary. If it's a guy, they're okay.

Hah! You should see this girl that I go to school with! Her hands are at least that big and shes not very large herself. It is scary!

beautiful image here!

great use of color, i really like the orange & purple with the aqua.

others have remarked before about the odd proportion of the left hand and right arm & i do agree that. i think also that the background could use a little bit more detail--- not much---but just a bit, maybe a couple darker lines for a bit of shadow--for depth-- it is a little bit confusing where the light is coming from, because if it is coming from the background, maybe the elf should have a bit or rim light or something? anyways--- very good work here.
