At Rockstar Toronto, we provide a highly creative work environment and develop some of the most respected and widely recognized titles in video games for current and next-gen consoles. Our Studio developed the 2005 videogame adaptation of the cult classic film The Warriors, a critically-acclaimed return to old-school brawler gameplay on the PS2 and Xbox. Recently we have worked on ManHunt 2, Bully: The Scholarship Edition and Grand Theft Auto IV.

Lead Animator

Rockstar Toronto is looking for a talented and creative Lead Animator to join our team. Applicants should have three to five years of related professional experience and have shipped at least two video game titles (preferably AAA quality).


Work with Design, Art and Animation directors to achieve overall creative vision for the game
Offer guidance and mentoring for the animation team
Manage the day to day operations of the animation department
Deliver assets on schedule and within technical specifications

Expert level experience with 3DS Max and/or Motion Builder-Experience with animation pipelines within a game development environment
A thorough understanding of character pipeline including modeling, rigging, skinning.
Experience with motion captured animation data

Ability to script using Maxscript and Python
Experience with physics simulations (Havok Reactor, Rayfire, etc.)
