Hey everybody! Does anyone know where I could get learning material on how to make a mocap rig? Ideally what I'm trying to have here is a rig that can go from maya ===> motion builder ===> back to Maya for any final tweaks.

I remember doing this once using something called "xfer", but I didn't set up the pipeline, I was just pressing the buttons. In all honesty, any direction that you could point me in, to get me info on making a mocap rig of any kind, in any program would be helpful.

this is more specific to lightwave...


but the details taht are important regarding the joint setup, and their LRAs is exactly the same as for maya.

But instead of creating the rig from scratch, you'll probs find the quickest way is to bring in the skeleton_75 character preset in motionbuilder, save it out as fbx, and then load that into maya, which'll give you the joint structure already laid out.
