I am having an issue with link constraints in 3ds max. Upon linking one controller to another, the parent seems to be influenced by the child. Specifically, the swivel goal of an IK chain is being linked to the root controller of that bone chain. When I move the swivel ctrl, the root rotated along with it.
I thought it had to do with the controller being directly related to the IK'd bones, so I linked the swivel goal to another controller further up the hierarchy, but the same problem occured. The master was still being influenced.
This IK is part of a larger character rig, I have included a crude diagram detailing the IK setup.
Does anyone know if there is a way to change this behaviour? I have not encountered this problem in my past rigs!
